Expectations for 1-1 Coaching
To ensure that every player gains the full benefit of 1-1 coaching, we ask for the following standards from players and parents:
Player Expectations
✔ Effort & Engagement
Players are expected to give consistent effort throughout sessions, listen actively, and be willing to learn new skills and ideas.
✔ Punctuality
Sessions start promptly at the scheduled time. Players should arrive ready to begin to avoid losing valuable coaching minutes.
✔ Respect & Behaviour
Respect towards the coach, equipment, training areas and any other individuals is essential at all times. A positive mindset leads to better results.
✔ Preparedness
Players should arrive with appropriate clothing, footwear, and a drink. For outdoor sessions, weather-appropriate gear is recommended.
✔ Communication
If a player doesn’t understand something or is struggling, we encourage open communication — we are here to help!
Parent & Guardian Expectations
✔ Supportive Environment
We ask that parents support player development by encouraging effort, punctuality and a growth mindset.
✔ Timely Updates
If a session needs to be rescheduled or cancelled, please notify us as early as possible to avoid disruption.
✔ Session Space
During 1-1 sessions, parents are welcome to watch respectfully or wait nearby. The coach may occasionally ask for minimal sideline distraction depending on the player’s needs.
Our Commitment
In return, we commit to:
⭐ Delivering high-quality, structured and enjoyable training
⭐ Providing individual feedback and support
⭐ Ensuring player safety, wellbeing and safeguarding standards
⭐ Creating a positive environment built on respect, encouragement and development
1-1 coaching works best when all parties are aligned — together we can help players build confidence, improve skill, and enjoy the game they love.
